What are New Years Resolutions Anyways?

My goals for the year? Whoa, whoa-WHOA! Let's start with my goal for January 1st, shall we?

GOAL: Don't be late for FROSTY DUCK RUN organised by local YMCA (College and Dovercourt)
START TIME: 9am
DISTANCE: 15km
GOAL TIME: Just finish
CONSOLIDATION of EXPERIENCE: Never enter a "fun-run" New Years day. Why?

  1. Its always competitive no matter how "fun" everyone pretends to be having...
  2. You never actually get to bed at a decent time the night before* (tee-hee) 
  3. Exercise involving limbs pounding on cement for more than 75 mins without any prior training is just plain dumb (I don't care how comfy your new shoes are; I am talking to myself here)
  4. The new comfy shoes you got for Christmas will give you new burning blisters...ugh!
  5. And finally, you will wake up the next morning very sore and perhaps need the assistance of a cane (thank you granny!).


That aside, YAY for my new FROSTY DUCK RUN long-sleeve!


Happy Be-lated New Year to all my friends, family and new friends and new family that I am sure to discover this year. May we learn a lot from each other in the new year... or just learn from the mistakes of yours truly.
