My Favourite Cousin - sorry Sarah!

There's something about family that I forgot when they aren't around...
...just how much I miss them!

Having family (in this case my sweetheart cousin Stephanie) was just brilliant!
Spending time with her actually made me feel more at home here in Dhaka.
(impossible to imagine but true)
And having family around - especially the mischievous and well-traveled kind - just
made me giggle constantly.
(or perhaps Stephanie just laughed a lot at me?!?)

Of course, I tried my best to be a good host.
Pretended to be the older, more mature, well put together, professional teacher-lady.
Pfffffft - that last a minute.
Instead, I showed my little cousin how stressed out I can get, how little I party but then when I do,
how more stressed & guilty I become for having relaxed!
SHEESH WELLSEY!
(Did I mention that I also talked non-stop about silly, girlie, stupid things? Yes, the WHOLE TIME!)
(Poor Steph is right. Really though, who is surprised by this?)
BAH - HA!

In short, Steph you are a TROOPER for putting up with me!
(evidence to show just how terrible a host I am)

Made her drive me around in a rickshaw.

Made her take off her sunglasses for photos were she is pretending to drive me around on a rickshaw.

Made her make all those bowls...

Made she to remind her constantly (every few minutes while walking in the jungle) who it was
who spotted the gibbons in the tree!
It was not her, it was ME!

Made her buy me tea constantly...

Steph you are a TROOPER for coming to Bangladesh - enough said.

Although I think you are an extra star for having survived not just one but two weeks with me -

BOOM!

In conclusion?
I forgot what it's like
to have someone around who knows me better than just a colleagues,
student or new friends and well...Steph?

THANK YOU
You were a star for living with me for 2.5 weeks
and not once killing me - BRAVO!
(I hope you come back one day in the next couple years so we can speak more terrible
Bangla together and double team more young-eligible bachelors!)

p.s. This is one of my favourite pictures of the trip

;-)
