Impossible to Ignore

I have a parasite (first one EVER sweeet)

and so

need to stop drinking coffee for one week (doctors orders).

BUT

It's my weekend...can I start on Monday?

Preeeeetty pleeeeeease?!?

DONE!

(weak Lauren, weak!)

Does it count if I say that it's impossible to ignore how lonely I
will feel today?
Ev & Tina left this morning and so the house will feel that much more empty.
Thus to avoid this feeling, why not go to a coffee shop and well, errrr
drown sorrows in a big old cuppa-coffee.

So...yeah.

Get this girl a soy-cappuccino STAT!

p.s. I would like to make a toast to Tina & Everett.

May your travels be long but comfortable,
May you find some shut eye on the plane
(or some really good movies Tina - ha!)
AND
May the two of you always know
(but never really know)
just how important you are to me and how much I loved having your here.

Thank you.

Luv,
Lauren

  1. Good friends and new adventures are two of the greatest things life has to offer. I am glad you were recently indulged. Just think of how much more you appreciate the time you have with friends when you have some time to yourself to reflect. Getting healthy starts now! Not in five minutes, not tomorrow or soon but right now! Cheers to making water your drink of choice for the next week, maybe turn it into a full detox and really feel better. I recently switched from coffee to tea to great effect but I just got a new bike and started riding and I think I might join you in solidarity! I hope you are better soon and enjoy the weekend!

  2. Awwww JONAS - thanks for the words of encouragement! Yes, tea it is (green especially)! No coffee for one week and then after that I'm thinking maybe, just MAYBE only one a day? If that maybe only on weekend - ha! Twenty-one days to break a habit (so they say) thus I might keep up the tea drinking for the next little while...GLAD TO HEAR FROM YOU and kinda embarrassed and slightly delighted that you read my posts ;-D

Thanks for making my day - boom!
    Lauren
