I'm not sure how many people can say they've had a pet duck? I know I can't. For years I have been secretly (and not so secretly) wanting one...but it never happened. HOWEVER; the one summer I lived on a bio dynamic farm in Ottawa, I felt like I had a pet duck. Correction; not A pet duck but FIVE pet ducks! My dear friend Tina and I loved those little rascals to pieces, up until the day they were gobbled up by coyotes that is. But before they died, ohhh too fun! We taught them to come when called and those little guys ran over like Trojans, really! Eager to see us or the treats we had for them? No matter, they loves us and as they got bigger (and quite fatter) the fun didn't stop! They grew so docile, you could hold them, pet them, feed them, talk to them and they responded...shit, I am sure I could have got one or two of them to play euchre if I had tried. But as I mentioned above, one day they were just taken from us and that was that. So today, I would like to remember Tom, John, Icky, Mickie, & Crier by showing a video of the first time we taught them to swim! ;-)
"What Would She Say" refers to my twin sister,Rhiannon. Rhiannon is challenged with autism and does not speak, cannot look after herself and will never develop past the capabilities of a 3 to 4 year old. However, all is not lost. I would like to think (even if some people believe this to be false) that Rhiannon and I share a special bond. So I try to ask myself as often as possible...what would Rhiannon say about this...? And thus the title was born - BOOM!
