New Fitness Challenge:Bumps and Criss-crossing

Special note to self : 
 Dhaka is a place where working out can be a challenge.

Although there are pools, tennis courts, weight rooms and evening runs at my disposal.

(Yes, I did just say RUNS - ha!)

(Ohhh stop, I've done it twice now with a group and it's not as scary as you think ;-)

I do miss the morning workouts that kick your butt, you know?

(the other suggestions above aren't always a for sure thing and I consistency people)

But relax Lauren all is not lost.

I figured out,skipping.

That's right, I found my new morning fix and all it requires is a rope and two legs.
DONE!
It's almost as good as my brown, liquid elixir fix - you know, coffee!

Get ready to be inspired.


It's been an introductory week to skipping but already I've created a routine and seen improvements with my different jumping styles.

LAUGH ALL YOU WANT - I don't care!!!!

I will achieve my ultimate goal of doing bumps (shown at the end of video),
as well as,
the kool criss-crossing thing that he does.

Again, this guy is a champ.
A hero.
He is definiting "staying awesome" in my books.

I have an idea.
Why not let me be the bunny? The experiment bunny!
What is the experiement Lauren? 
Skipping for the next three months to see if I can
get in fantastic shape or just keep up my fitness levels (what fitness Lauren ? Ha!)
 What do I have to do Lauren?
 NOTHING!
Just have to sit back and watch me fail or SUCCEED - ha!
Let's set a end point...Mmm.
I propose this.
In three months time it will be Christmas.

True story.

I will be leaving Dhaka to spend Christmas with a good friend (Brian Adams)
in some HOT destination location...maybe then I will get HIM
to record just how FABULOUSLY wonderful my skipping skills are.
(cuz there is no way I am going to ask any of my new colleagues to 
video tape me in my fitness room - sounds weird and dirty already)

And what exactly are we betting here?

Self worth? Utter humiliation?Total devastation if I don't succeed?
 DONE! GIDDY-UP!
No pressure Lauren.
BOOM!
